The Satanic Temple is planning another “After School Satan Club” at a Tennessee elementary school following Christmas break.

The group announced on social media that the club will begin on Jan. 10 at Chimneyrock Elementary School and offer different activities to children in the library.

According to a flyer, the club is a non-theistic religion that views Satan "as a literary figure who represents a metaphorical construct of rejecting tyranny and championing the human mind and spirit.”

It adds that it "does not attempt to convert children to any religious ideology" but instead "supports children to think for themselves."

Memphis-Shelby County Schools addressed concerns on Facebook after the controversial club was announced and said they would rent out the space per its policy.

As a public school district, we’re committed to upholding the principles of the First Amendment, which guarantees equal access to all non-profit organizations seeking to use our facilities after school hours,” according to a statement. “This means we cannot approve or deny an organization’s request based solely on its viewpoints or beliefs.

Attending the club is optional for students who want to participate in science projects, community service, puzzles and nature activities.
